Monday Mission
October 29, 2018:
Student, Staff & Parent Mission: The mission for everyone is to ask people this week "What was the best part of your day?” Or week, class, recess, practice, or lunch. We want everyone to consider and acknowledge the great things going on in their lives.
Halloween Parade & Trunk-or-Treat
The parade will start at 2:30 p.m., marching through the halls as we pick up each class. We will then leave the building through the East doors and out into the parking lot for the Trunk-or-Treat. We will re-enter the building by the West entrance and drop the students off as we march back through the halls. To watch the parade, you may stand in the halls, or you may stand out front around the parking lot.
Costumes should not be too scary and weapons, references to drugs or alcohol, or gory outfits will not be allowed.
Students are welcome to bring their own bag for the candy and other trinkets they will receive at the Trunk-or-Treat.
If the weather is rainy we will have the parade inside and the Trunk-or-Treat in the cafeteria.
We hope to see you at the parade!

RECESS DRESS CODE REVIEW
There have been some issues with the dress requirements for recess. As we begin to ride the temperature roller coaster (mostly down!) that is the norm here in West Michigan, it is a good time to review the recess dress code.
All students must wear snow pants, coat, and boots to go off the paved areas of the playground when there is snow on the ground or if it is muddy. Also, as the weather and temperature fluctuates our policy for outdoor gear is as follows:
50’s-Jackets are suggested, but optional
40’s-Jackets, coat, sweatshirt, or sweater required
30’s-Coat, hat, gloves, boots, & snow pants required.
We use the wind chill temperature to determine the dress requirements. The office will inform
the students when the temperature is questionable.
OHS Destination Imagination
We Need Your Help!
The Otsego High School Destination Imagination team is running a clothing drive from October 22nd-November 16th!
We are collecting NEW socks, NEW underwear, and NEW AND GENTLY used tennis shoes.
A box is set up in the Dix Street lobby.
When this clothing drive ends, we will be distributing these items throughout the community to the families who are in need.
