A Message from Principal Blair
We had quite a busy week at JMS! I want to recognize our Cheerleaders for planning an awesome Black-Out Pep Rally! Our students loved the glow sticks, grade level competitions, and the Thriller dance with teachers was a huge hit!
We recognized Honor Roll students along with Perfect Attendance on Friday at our grade level awards assemblies! Students with All A's and Perfect Attendance received red VIP bracelets. These students will be released 2 minutes early to lunch each day of the 2nd nine week grading cycle :)
Friday afternoon, we celebrated our 8th grade class who had the highest attendance percentage for the 1st nine weeks of school! They enjoyed snow cones, a photo booth, and a friendly game of kickball the last period of the day.

Library Notes & Tech Tips from Mrs. Martone
This month the JMS Library will be observing Native American Heritage Month! We will be celebrating and recognizing the ancestry and traditions of Native Americans and their contributions to our country! Books on Native American culture and traditions and information on the history of Native American History Month will be displayed in the library. Students will also have the opportunity to view online resources through the library Google Classroom and website. The library is also excited to be partnering with the JMS Art department to display student depictions of Native American symbols, pictographs, and petroglyphs.
