Components of an Experiment Design
Title
To investigate the affects of the reflectiveness of the flap on the efficiency of the solar cooker in heating up the water.
Hypothesis
The more reflective the flap is, the greater the amount of heat the cooker absorbs, the higher the temperature of water at the end of experiment.
Independent
variable
The sides of aluminium flap (one less reflective and one more reflective)
Dependent variable
Temperature of the water at the end of the experiment
Constants
The type of material of the box, the location of the set-up, the thickness of the aluminium flap
Control
A set-up with the flap without any aluminium wrapped around it
Number of trials
2
