MAP Assessments (NWEA)
Watch for instructions for your student to take MAP (NWEA) assessments online during the first week of school. It's super important that your student take these assessments independently so that teachers can glean the academic info on your student's academic needs to get started, and be able to see growth and progress as the year continues.

Attend ONE orientation session online your first day of school, or first week of school, depending on your schedule. These will show in your student's schedule, and are typically offered multiple times your first week. VIEW ORIENTATION INFO Contact your advisor if you have orientation questions.
Online Learning Course: Log into the school system to begin the Welcome to Online Learning course. You may begin this before the first day of school if you choose. This course gives you the information for each course for your student and helps you to learn how the school system works.
On the First Day: Log into the school system between 8 and 8:30 to see your student's Class Connect (Events) Schedule. This varies by student, but those live classes are the priority to plan the day. You should see an orientation offered, along with other live classes and lessons to do.

Should I purchase School Supplies?
Typical supplies like printing paper, pencils, folders, highlighters and notebooks are encouraged to help your student be organized and prepared. Printing needs may vary, so please see below for the tip on HP Instant Ink, and we recommend printing on economy or draft mode.
