Freshman Day & Farewell

We thank our Freshman Team teachers, especially Senora Corsino, Mrs. Marano, and Mr. Sterner, our Tamanend parents and guardians, especially Mrs. Snyder, and Mr. Boyle for everything they did to make the end of their Tamanend days special for our Freshman Class!

We wish our Freshmen Class all the best as they go off to high school next year. Remember your RoAR and Tamanend Together Always!

Tamanend's Got Talent

Madame Orinski, Mr. Sanchez and Miss Vitacco did it again--the 2018 Tamanend RoAR Talent Show was incredible. We thank them, the Student Council Officers, our Sound and Lights Crew, and all of the students who shared their talents on stage. What a great way to spend our last Friday of the year together!

New Book Garden

Thank you to 9th Grader Jonah S., who decided to use his Eagle Scout Project to extend our Library to the outside. Jonah designed, raised funds, and elicited the help of family and fellow NJHS members to create an outdoor Reading Garden in the courtyard at the back of the Library. Along with flowering garden beds, Jonah constructed four picnic benches to be used by classrooms or for reading. Jonah, congratulations on you earning your Eagle Scout Medal and thank you for leaving us a book garden to use and enjoy for years to come.

Miss Junior Team America Winner

Tamanend 9th Grader, Yvonne B, won the Junior Teen division at the 2017 Miss American Coed Pageants (MAC Pageants) national competition. In addition to a crown, banner, trophy and flowers, Yvonne earned a $2,400 cash award, two admission tickets to Walt Disney World, and a travel allowance to next year’s MAC Pageants national competition where she will crown her successor. Yvonne's project is to help people look beyond the disabilities of others and see instead, the person first. She wishes that everyone could understand the world through the eyes of those who have a disability. Yvonne also won an optional competition in Speech where she received a $300 cash award.
