My Life at the Smithsonian
W. T. Chase
Tom Chase was the Head Conservator of the Technical Laboratory of the Freer Gallery of Art at the Smithsonian Institution for 30 years. His work took him around the world and made him a well-known international scholar, especially in the field of ancient Chinese bronzes. He will attempt to give you an idea of the breadth of projects he worked on at the Smithsonian, and take you into some interesting byways.
