Wine Week for Choir Nerds
Wednesday Updates
Box vs. Bottle Challenge
Thanks to everyone (Jason and Danielle) who came out for Think Inside the Box last night! We successfully guessed several box varietals (some of us more than others...) and tasted some good and some very not-so-good boxed wines. We also accurately identified the box and bottle in the Box vs. Bottle Challenge! And as a bonus, we found a delicious new Malbec favorite.
Champagne!
Last night's events also featured Champagne flights served by the most pretentious hipster to ever walk the face of the earth at Volver. We delighted in the world's most elegant bubbly while learning about the only three bars in Philadelphia worth going to from Mustachio McHipsterson (a.bar, Old Bar, and Townsend for those keeping track).
On the bright side, he did serve us some delicious cocktails (see the gallery below!) but then promptly made us feel like losers for only drinking cocktails with citrus in them. But damn that Champagne was tasty!

Tonight's Event
Join us tonight at Cooperidge for Sparkling Flights! They also have a huge selection of whiskey, bourbon, and Scotch for those kind of people... See you there at 8:00!
Wine Week Scorecard
Here are the scores for wine week*!
McDermott: 7 points (because, obviously)
Danielle: 6 points (for attending multiple events and dominating at Quizzo!)
Jason: 3 points (2 events and some correct tasting!)
Fuller: 1 point (Happy Hour!)
Susan: 1 point (for being there in spirit!)
Liz: 1 point (roommate love!)
Sara: 1 point (sickness is an excused absence)
Dana: -3 points (for complaining about lack of events despite not showing up to a damn thing!)
Luke: -5 points (because the captain of the drinking team has gone MIA)
There's still time to catch up and win the Grand Prize (nothing)!
*Based on Andrew's arbitrary point system
