Willow Weekly
July 6, 2017
Welcome (Back) to the Willow!
We are so excited to be beginning our 2017-18 school year and can't wait to meet all of our new Baby Bengals! Remember, Tracks 1,2 and 3 begin on Monday, July 10. (Kindergarten, you will come only one day for your assessment day this first week - check your letter to determine your assessment date.) Here are some reminders for this first week of school:
- Please make sure your child's teacher knows how he/she will be going home from school
- Car-riders can be dropped off at 8:50.
- Afternoon car-ride line begins at 3:40. Please do not arrive at school before 3:40 to line up and do not wait on Dwight Rowland Rd prior to 3:40 to minimize traffic congestion.
- Bus routes are available under the transportation tab at www.wcpss.net
- School supply lists at www.teacherlists.com
- If your child brings a lunch, remember to send in items for lunch that your child can open independently!!
Stop by the office or call us anytime with any questions so we can start the year off great!
Volunteer Registration
Please remember that you need to register each year for volunteer status in order to go on field trips, work in the classroom or participate in any activity that gives you access to students. The Media Center will be open in the mornings for you to register. You'll need your driver's license number.
BUS TAGS ARE NEW
We are placing bus tags on the backpacks of all bus riders this year so drivers can check for stop info and identifying info. Please leave tags intact and on the bags all year.
Medications at School
Remember, we are not able to administer your child medication at school without the 17-18 1702 medication form completed by your doctor and signed by you. Please see Mrs. Mary in the office for assistance.
Please be patient with transportation
There are many new students, new bus stops and lots of safety regulations to review with students. Bus drivers will be checking tags as students get off the buses for safety. This will all take the buses longer to arrive, so please be patient as the drivers work out their new routines the first few weeks of school. You can check the times buses leave campus by following us on twitter (@Willowspringses) or by checking out our webpage where you can see the feed (http://www.wcpss.net/willowspringses)
