Information and updates
Jog-A-Thon
The APA will still be accepting donations for another week. Look for the rising count thermometer in the hallway by the office following Thanksgiving break. Our school goal is $10,000. All students can earn a prize just for returning the envelope, just circle the item you wish to receive at the bottom, and no donation is necessary to get the prize.
Remember that the Joga-a-thon makeup day is this next Tuesday, December 3rd.
Walk and Bike to school day
Walk & Bike to School is scheduled on the first Wednesday of each month and we need your help! Our goal is to recognize the students who have walked or biked to school that day. We need volunteers to help staff the tables at the entrance to the school to distribute participation tickets and fruit leather. We also need volunteers positioned at Western View to help safely walk with the students who are dropped by the bus or their parents at that area. Please sign up here https://signup.com/go/oLHNfcL for the volunteer position that interests you. Thank you for your willingness to help!
***All dates have been posted if you'd prefer to sign up for your desired times now***

Pe and wellness news
PE NEWS
Despite the short week, each class had a PE session (except for one class). We revisited a tag game called "Odd Person Out." The K class played "Caution Tape Stomp."
We did a cooperative throw/catch drill called "Peel Out," in which teams of 3 rotated through tossing, catching, and peeling off to a new spot. The last cooperative game was called "Moving Day." Teams of three were challenged to move a rubber animal, a ball, and a beanbag from one side of the gym to the other without the use of hands or arms, or by traveling with the ball.
WELLNESS NEWS
Just a reminder about the Bring Your Parents to PE week from January 13-17.Come to PE any day that week with your child. Also, free play at Peak Elite Gymnastics Club is January 26 from 11:00-1:00.
