Fourth grade teacher April Smith was celebrated as our Excellence in Teaching nominee, and assistant principal Rachel Ward was celebrated as our Excellence in Service to Education nominee at the Northland Chamber’s Excellence in Education banquet. What a great time celebrating some of our best!
A BIG thank you from our school media specialist, Mrs. Hyatt
Thank you to everyone who came to our Scholastic Book Fair. We had amazing parent and student volunteers who helped to make it a great experience. We were fortunate to be able to receive many new books for the Union Chapel media center for all students to enjoy in the future. Keep on reading, and we will see you at our next book fair.

Park Hill Star
The Park Hill Star recognition program was started in 2015 to celebrate support staff and teachers whose work is especially noteworthy. Recently, PHSD Superintendent Dr. Jeanette Cowherd visited Union Chapel to congratulate three staff members who were nominated by parents and students. Pictures of these visits are below.

The following is an overview of the Park Hill Star Program:
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students.
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee.
Nominations are not being accepted at this time, but opportunities will re-open at the beginning of the 2017-18 school year. Thanks to everyone who took the time to nominate a Park Hill Star this year!
