Senior Parents/Guardians:
Scholarships are continuing to arrive in the Student Services office and are posted on Naviance as well. Please encourage your child to review these postings and apply for scholarships.
Make sure to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application if you have not already done so. This application can be found at fafsa.gov. The FAFSA is the most important application in the financial aid process. All colleges and universities will require the FAFSA before determining a financial aid award. Colleges may also require students to complete a CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE (profileonline.collegeboard.org) and/or a college specific financial aid application. It is important to be aware of each college's financial aid deadlines - missing deadlines could result in missing out on financial aid. For more information on the financial aid process please visit mefa.org.
From Debbie Donohoe BSN, RN, NCSN in the THS Health Office:
Since our return from February break I am still seeing students with complaints of cold symptoms, cough and sore throat. I have been receiving reports of influenza Type A and Type B, strep throat and stomach virus from parents as well as notes from student’s medical providers. As always, please notify me if your child is diagnosed with influenza, strep, or any other communicable illness. Notes from your child’s medical provider can be used to medically excuse absences due to illness.
I realize there are many concerns regarding reports of Coronavirus. The precautions to help prevent colds and the flu also help protect against Coronavirus. DPH recommends:
· Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, if unable to wash, use alcohol-based hand sanitizers
· Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
· Cover your coughs or sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve (not with your hands)
· Stay away from people who are sick and stay home when you are sick
Thank you and stay healthy!
