Ag in the Classroom
Champaign County Farm Bureau Foundation
Winter Notes
- The weather can be unpredictable so make sure to check your email for communication from us. If travel is hazardous, we won't travel long distances to present.
- Illness is everywhere! Unfortunately, we don't have subs. If we have to cancel, we will do our best to reschedule.
- Our schedules are full. We try to stay flexible, but that is often difficult because our calendars are carefully constructed to get to as many schools in a day/week as possible. In some cases, we can reschedule, but many times it is just not possible.
Hatching Chicks: Equipment reservation begins 2/1
It seems early to think about a Spring Hatch, but it won't be long before we check out equipment! This learning opportunity is for both veterans of the hatching process and those of you who would like to try it for the first time! Either way, this is an experience that your students will always remember. We are sending this out in January because many teachers set up equipment before Spring Break and then set eggs when they return. But if you have 21 days before break, that will work too! Talk to your grade-level team members to see if you want to try this "egg-cellent" adventure together. Click the image below to access our quick facts sheet. Watch for sign-up information coming soon!
