Dear Mattos Families,

I hope everyone is enjoying the final weeks of summer! I know I am really looking forward to the new school year. We're busy preparing the campus thanks to our amazing custodial team! We also had many Mattos families volunteer on Saturday to clean up an outdoor space to make room for an outdoor learning space on campus. It's exciting to watch the progress being made!

We are welcoming many new families to Mattos this school year and what a better way to meet one another than to come together before school starts. Mark your calendar for August 10th (see flier below).

I'll have a lot more to share about the new school year in the upcoming weeks, so please check your emails each Monday for important information from Mattos.

Reminders and Announcements:

• MAZE (Forms to Complete Online): Complete all forms in Infinite Campus by August 7. Please see the information here and below that has been provided by FUSD.

• Volunteering in 2023-2024? All adults who volunteer on campus or on a field trip at any time during the school year must complete the CiviCore application. If you are returning as a volunteer, please resubmit your information in CiviCore. If you are new, please visit FUSD's website here.

MAZE is Fremont Unified School District’s annual registration confirmation process in which parents/guardians:

• provide required information for each enrolled student - such as emergency contacts,

• acknowledge certain parent/guardian and student rights and responsibilities, and

• access specific school forms/information.

Completing the MAZE process ensures your student’s school has accurate information, and allows families to view student schedules/classroom assignments and their teachers when that information is released in August.

MAZE forms for all FUSD students must be completed online through the Infinite Campus (IC) Parent Portal. The window to complete the MAZE process for the 2023-24 school year is July 17 to August 7, 2023.

While MAZE forms will not be available until July 17, we strongly recommend that you take a few moments and log into your IC Parent Portal now to address any access issues. Click here for IC Parent Portal troubleshooting and support.

Please do not complete the New Student Registration as it will duplicate your student(s).

Parents/Guardians will receive a notice MAZE information at the email address indicated in the IC Parent Portal, and updates will be posted to both the FUSD and school websites.

MAZE es el proceso de confirmación de registro anual del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Fremont en el que los padres/tutores:

• proporcionan la información requerida para cada estudiante inscrito, como contactos de emergencia,

• reconocen ciertos derechos y responsabilidades de los padres/tutores y estudiantes, y

• acceden a formularios/información específicos de la escuela.
