We bring the Sonoran Desert to you!
Welcome to Conservancy Kids!
What is a Habitat?
Join Nicole and Taylor as they talk more about what a microhabitat is, why they're important, and where you can look for microhabitats around your own home!
Where can you find microhabitats?
- under rocks and fallen leaves
- on or around trees
- gardens (either your own or a community garden)
- in the grass
- under bushes
Since we're looking at small things, use a magnifying glass to help you see even more of what's happening in these microhabitats.
*Use a long stick or kitchen tongs to lift things like leaves, rocks, and bushes where you can't see what's underneath. Remember to be safe and respect all the living things you find!
Sharing (virtually) is caring! If you enjoy these newsletters, please pass them on to family and friends.
