The Puritans dominated the New England Colonies. The Puritans had strict rules with consequences. Puritans did not like other religions expect for their own. If the Puritans failed to attended church or those who spoke out of the Puritans ways had severe consequences. They would be hung, whipped, and their tongue would be pierce with a hot awl.

The New England Colonies depended on the ocean. They did fishing, whaling and shipbuilding. They also did logging and trapping on land.
