Karāpiro House Leaders – Sam and Freddie

Hi I’m Sam, one of the Karapiro House Leaders for 2023. I am very excited to lead Karāpiro. I like to play golf and basketball with my friends. I also like to make things out of wood. This year I am looking forward to help other students achieve their goals.

Hi my name is Freddie . I am the House Leader of Karāpiro. I like all sports especially golf and hockey. I like to play lego in my spare time. My favourite subject is Mathematics because of the challenge.

Waikato House Leaders – Luka and Shaun

Hi, my name is Luka and I am a House Leader of Waikato House. This year I am looking forward to supporting kids during school sports events. I also look forward to teaching and encouraging other children to reach their goals. My interests are sports especially golf. I also enjoy basketball and hockey. Let’s go Waikato!

Hi my name is Shaun and I’m one of the Waikato House Leaders. One of the reasons I applied for the role of House Leader was to have opportunities to lead the school Assemblies. I like hunting, playing rugby and golf.

Maungatautari House Leaders – Amelia and Molly

Hi, my name is Amelia and I am one of the Maungatautari House Leaders in 2023. I am 12 years old and enjoy hockey and listening to music. I have 2 pets, a dog named Indie and a kitten named Millie. I like to do art in my free time and go for swims in our pool on sunny days. I also have 2 siblings, an older sister and a younger brother. I am looking forward to a great 2023 as House Leader.

Hi, I’m Molly and I’m House Leader for Maungatautari House for 2023. Last year I was a Sports Leader because I love being active and playing sport. I decided to go for House Leader since I am in my last year at Hautapu School. The day I moved to Hautapu School I wanted to be a leader especially a House Leader. Now that I’m a Year 8 student, I finally can. 2023 is going to be such a cool year.

Hautapu House Leaders – Charlie and Maddie

Hi, I’m Charlie and one of Hautapu’s House Leaders. I plan on leading the school by helping others on their learning path. I like to play cricket with my friends and I also like making new friends. This year I am very excited to be leading Hautapu House and show the value of community to succeed with all of our goals.

Hello my name is Maddie and I am a House Leader of Hautapu House you will have probably already seen me around the school. This year as House Leader I hope to bring many smiles to some very lucky kids who get awarded a House Leader Certificate for showing our school values around the school. I am also excited to run fun days and activities for our winning house (which will be Hautapu by the way). I am excited for getting to run assemblies and inspiring kids to try their best. I hope to see you around school.

COMMUNITY NOTICES

What does Waipā look like in 2050?

Waipā District Council is in the early stages of developing Ahu Ake - Waipā Community Spatial Plan which will be a blueprint for our district for the next 30+ years.

This plan will have a direct impact on our future, and the future of our children and grandchildren and will be the most important plan we create.

Now the plan needs you.

Council will be at the Leamington Domain on Saturday 11 March from 11am-1pm to speak with our community about what is important to you for the future of our town and the wider district.

The mini trains will be running and there will be ice cream on offer, so pop the date in your calendar and make sure to head down and have your say.

Your feedback is a critical part of this plan.

You can find more information about this project and have your say online at www.ahuakewaipa.nz/have-your-say.
