E-Safety

You know that we take e-safety very seriously in school because children are at risk of harm when using online applications. It is important that they understand not to befriend people online that they don’t know. We have recently been alerted to the use of Snapchat by some children, which has put them at risk of harm. Please take care to monitor your child’s online presence. Further guidance can be found in the Safeguarding tab of our website.

Sustrans Big walk and wheel event

Next week we are taking part in the national ‘Big Walk and Wheel’. We would encourage all pupils to walk, scoot or cycle at least part of their journey to school in the morning. This will make a big difference to our environment, and Eco Warriors will collect the results and enter us in the national competition to win great prizes. You can find out more at: https://bigwalkandwheel.org.uk/

Eco Warriors Tip

Today’s water-saving tip from our Eco Warriors is: Turn off the tap when you clean your teeth. A running tap uses up to nine litres of water a minute.

MAT Survey

Thank you to everyone who responded to the MAT survey this term. We now have the first set of data and are delighted that our school received the highest scores in the trust for questions relating to teaching and learning. Governors and SLT are analysing the data in detail, and we will share further outcomes with you in due course.

School Lunches

Please see the new Spring 2022 Lunch menu below. Next week we will be on Week 2 of lunches.

Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.

Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.

Each day there are 4 choices, either the hot dinner, hot vegetarian option, jacket potato with a choice of toppings or a sandwich. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.

Packed Lunches - if you are sending grapes in your child's packed lunch, can you please ensure that these are cut in half.

Spring 2022 Lunch Menu

From w/c 4th January - w/c 4 April 2022 This is our new menu for the Spring Term
