CHS Weekly Update
Week 4: 9-22-19
One Month In...
At the end of this week, we will officially be one month in and it's honestly hard to believe how fast it is going. In my travels this weekend, I saw kids out in homecoming dresses and was reminded that we can no longer say that school just started! Thanks to everyone for helping out this past week as we officially entered the twilight zone in some cases. Every year brings its own brand of interesting and this one has decided to have just enough bizarre and a little crazy to keep us guessing and sometimes laughing. If I don't tell you enough, I appreciate you!
Other Things on My Mind...
- Social Studies and Math met this week and did a great job making decisions that support our students. I'm proud of the work that each has done to recognize the needs of our students both collectively and in smaller groups as well as recognize the challenge of a curriculum that is monstrous (and never done growing in Social Studies). I can't wait to see where this work takes each department.
- Please make sure to schedule a time to meet with your evaluator to discuss your goal(s) after you have completed your self-eval. When you meet, please also be prepared to discuss what you are working on this year so that we know what you would like feedback on.
- Speaking of feedback, we will be starting our Building Advisory Team meetings again and I'm looking for the 6 staff members that the building would like to provide feedback on all things CHS. It is important to me to connect with each of you as much as possible, but I know that sometimes when we sit on different parts of the beach ball, we can miss important perspectives. Please use the form I send out right after this to provide your choices.
- Cell phone lockers are ORDERED and should be here 9-25! I officially cleaned out the vendor and still have 6 more to purchase. I also got a call from Amazon asking if I for real made the purchase. :)
- We have a ton going on this week (and the next, and the next, and the next). Let's make it a great one!
