LCES United: Together We Are More!
Mrs. Hladun's Tidings
I am writing this in my car on a LONG drive home from S. CA and NV - we took a road trip to visit extended family and to create new memories with my own little family. I hope that you were also able to enjoy the week off and that you found time to relax and enjoy those who are special to you.
A few things our team is feeling thankful for this time of the year:
- our Veterans and active duty military members - we appreciate your sacrifices
- Mrs. Stone (who now teaches art at TBMS) for firing the newest tiles created by Colt families last spring
- the Novela family for installing the newly fired tiles on the tile wall
- all the families who donated their time or other resources to make the various fall celebrations the week leading up to Thanksgiving Break both fun and delicious
- Mr. Brown for building and installing three beautiful lending libraries in each of our gardens (see a picture below!)
Upcoming Winter Performances and Book Fair
Each class will be visiting the book fair during their library time during the week of December 4th. Please contact your child's teacher if you need to confirm the date/time of the visit. In addition to their scheduled library time, children can visit the book fair during morning recess, and the book fair will be open the evenings of the the winter performances. The book fair will NOT be open before or after school or at lunch. Click here to volunteer to help at the book fair.
