RMS Knightly News
Week of June 13, 2022
Hello RMS Knights and Families
Our Summer Honor the Castle's theme is "Rest, Refresh, Recharge, and Create Memories".
I would like to take this time to thank all of our families and students for your continued support and partnership during the 21-22 school year at RMS. Our families, students, and staff have learned, persevered together, and grown stronger through the previous two school years. Our RMS staff was grateful for the opportunity to get back to a more traditional school year and engage in some of our annual events to encourage our students academically, athletically, and through community. Our students supported one another both socially and emotionally. Our families and caregivers were there every step along the 21-22 way to support our Knights and staff. It was definitely a team approach that allowed the school community at RMS to maintain focus on our RMS vision statement of 80 weeks of impact and beyond- Learning for all that ensures engagement, growth, and achievement.
As this year comes to close, I would like to take this opportunity to wish our 8th grade students a fond farewell and success as they move on to academic and extra-curricular opportunities at Fraser High School. I look forward to seeing “Our RMS alumni- RISE over the next four years at FHS”.
As we prepare for next school year, we are excited to welcome our incoming 7th grade students and returning 8th graders. Our staff, students and families have learned a lot through the previous school years and efforts during the pandemic seasons. As we continue to return back to the school events and happenings we all have been accustomed to in the pre-pandemic years, I look forward to us growing and honoring the castle together during the 2022-2023 school year.
With that, I would like to wish our students, parents, caregivers, and school staff a safe, restful and rewarding summer. Hopefully, we will all have the opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends and come back to school with a sense of rejuvenation in the fall.
For our returning RMS families, we will send out information about 22-23 school supplies list and our orientation dates during the last week of June.

RMS Report Cards
We are excited to announce that moving forward we will be delivering report cards electronically for our students in grades 7-12. Report cards will no longer be mailed home.
Your student’s grades will be accessible in your secure PowerSchool Parent Portal account at the end of the school year.
The decision to transition to electronic report cards was made for several reasons. First, the district is committed to reducing the amount of paper we use. Also, this will allow families immediate access to final grades as soon as they are posted. Finally, there is a significant amount of time and resources spent on printing and mailing report cards, and a number of them end up returned to us because we don’t have the most up-to-date address on file.
We will send additional communication when grades are available in June.
If you do not have a Parent Portal account set up at this time, a separate email has been sent with instructions to create one.
Gleaners Food Distribution
FPS are excited to announce that we have extended our partnership with Gleaners. They will continue to be set up in the FHS parking lot on the following dates:
- June 23
- July 7
- July 21
- August 4
- August 18
- September 1
- September 15
- September 29
