Moon Phases

First and third quarter smiliarities and differences
The differences between the first and third quarter is that the first quarter is on the waxing side and the light is on the right. For the third quarter, it is on the wanning side and the light is on the left. They both have half of their moon lit in the moon phases.
New moon
The new moon is the starting point from which the moon phases began.
The waxing quarter phases{First quarter}
The First quarter is when the litted part of the moon grows bigger and bigger until it reaches the full moon.
The wanning quarter phase{Third quarter}
The Third quarter is when the little part of the moon shrinks and gets smaller until it reaches the new moon which starts the moon phases cycle again.
Perspective on earth and in outer space
When the astronauts from ISS{International Space Station}are actually out there in space, they can see the entire moon that means they have several spots where they can recieve different perspectives. When we are on our planet, Earth, we can only see the part of the moon that is lit because we are only in one area which means one perspective.
