2014 HOA Board of Directors Elections
Covington Place is a wonderful neighborhood. During the past year our calendar was filled with great activities starting with a Luau at the pool on opening day, continuing with the Chili Cook-off in October and ending at Christmas with the Golf Cart Parade and lighting of the Luminaries to name a few. Credit for organizing and hosting these events goes to our energetic and creative Social Committee.
.
Our community is able to offer these events because we have a well-managed and well-funded Homeowners Association. This year three of our most experienced Board Directors, Kendra Losch, Shawn McGovern, and Ralph Ingerson are retiring from office opening three seats on the Board of Directors. These seats will be filled with an election in March.
.
These three neighbors, who worked continuously on HOA affairs since 2006, will be greatly missed. But with change comes opportunity. New faces on the Board of Directors will bring energy, enthusiasm and a fresh perspective. We ask that capable, practical, common sense people offer themselves for election to the Board of Directors. Experience in business, accounting, real estate, legal affairs and local government would be an asset, but is not mandatory. With over eighty undeveloped lots in our sub-division and a healing economy we are in for rapid change during the next two years. If you want to help manage that change, or if you would like to improve the way our community operates we ask that you consider running for election to the Board of Directors.
.
More information regarding the election process, dates, and how to get involved will be coming in the next few weeks. In the meantime, please give serious consideration to running for one of these 2-year term position.

Thanks to our volunteers!
Charged with the dismantling of the 2013 Christmas decorations at the CP entrance, Lyn and Lynn Atkinson received the enthusiastic support of Johanna Hortsmann, Cris Branan, Brooke Woodall, and Debbie & Craig Marquardt. This hard working crew took the decorations down, neatly boxed them up, and stored them for next year in less than an hour!
