SHS MAIN ENTRANCE BRICK PAVERS
As part of the expansion of Strongsville High School in 1998, brick pavers were purchased by donors and installed in the main entrance area. During recent construction and renovation at the high school, it was necessary for these brick pavers to be removed. For those who are interested in retaining their brick paver, they may be found on pallets in front of our Maintenance Department on Rademaker-Miller Lane.
Click HERE for the specific list of donors and brick pavers available for pick up through March 31, 2017.
MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - WHITNEY & SURRARRER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COUNSELOR MR. ERIC SCHIBLEY
Mr. Eric Schibley is a counselor in our District for both Whitney & Surrarrer Elementary Schools. He has spent 11 years with Strongsville Schools and has worked in almost every one of our elementary buildings. As an elementary school counselor, he is responsible for assisting students by implementing comprehensive programs which include social and emotional learning, academic, and career learning.
He has been in education for 21 years, having worked in Columbia Local Schools and Elyria City Schools prior to starting in Strongsville. Mr. Schibley earned his undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University and his graduate degree from Cleveland State University. Mr. Schibley shares that education is a “family business” with his wife, his wife’s parents and his parents all having careers in education.
“The best part of my job is that I am able to help and assist students, teachers, parents, and administrators. I gain great satisfaction in being a helper. Also, I am consistently amazed by the work of the teachers. It is amazing to watch the students grow under their tutelage,” adds Mr. Schibley.
Thank you Mr. Schibley for being a valuable member of our District staff and making a positive impact on our students!
