Dressing Up and Parade For Halloween
As we are nearing the end of October it is time to start thinking about Halloween plans.
- We will be celebrating on Friday, October 29th in the morning.
- Your teacher will be contacting you about how they plan to celebrate in their classroom.
- We are asking students to come to school dressed in their costumes with clothes underneath so they can change out of their costumes.
- Whether we do a parade or not will be fully dependent on the weather. If the weather is nice, we will come outside to parade around the field starting about 9:30 AM.
- We will not move the parade inside if the weather is crummy.
- Parents are definitely welcome to join us if the weather is nice and we get to parade outside.
We look forward to celebrating with our classmates!

Retake Picture Day!
Retake Picture Day - Tuesday, October 26th
- To prepay for pictures go to:
- Enter your school code: 30023401
The code above is only available for those who would like to prepay for retake pictures and not to reorder your student's original pictures.
The code above will not be available after picture day. After picture day, you will receive your student's photo packet. There will be a code within the packet to purchase pictures if you did not order them before picture day.
Paper ordering packets are available in the front office.
Please Note: Not every child will automatically take a retake picture. We will pull children to take a retake picture if they are new or were not present during picture day. If you would like your child to take a new picture because you were not satisfied with their original picture, please have your child tell their teacher they would like to take a new picture. You can also email me at hbrown1@dcsdk12.org and let me know to have your child pulled out for a picture.
Thank you

The POP Tab Recycling Program
The Pop Tab Recycling Program is a fundraising project to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver. The Ronald McDonald Houses in Denver and Aurora serve as a home away from home for many families whose children are seriously ill and are undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
How the program works
Aluminum beverage can tabs are collected and sold for cash. Also tabs from soup, tuna, and fruit etc. cans can be collected.
This project continues to be a success because it makes it possible for any individual or group to make a contribution. It is an easy and fun task for young and old and a great way to lend support to children and their families during a time of crisis.
*Since the 2000-01 school year, the families of Coyote Creek have helped collect over 800 gallons of tabs! Every gallon collected equals one night at the Ronald McDonald House. This has allowed families to stay at the Ronald McDonald House for FREE for 800 nights!
Please collect your tabs and bring them to the main office. Thank you so very much for helping!
