Robert Hunter School welcomed very special visitors from Hunterdon Health this week. Kim Blanda, RN, Director of Community Health Relations, and Kathleen Seelig, Director of Public Relations and Marketing, brought a collection of human organs to share with 4th-grade students. Organs included a brain, a heart, and three sets of lungs. Ms. Blanda and Ms. Seelig described how the organs work and answered questions from students and staff. They were joined by School Nurse Susanna Cunniff; teachers Mrs. McPeek, Mrs. Marino and Mrs. Salazar; and School Counselor Mrs. Fontanez. The visit was a unique way for students to engage in hands-on learning. Mrs. Cunniff shared, "It was so neat for the kids to see themselves "from the inside." We thank Hunterdon Health for their time here at Robert Hunter School."
