Principal's Message

March 2023

Dear YCES Tiger Families,

Hard to believe it is March with all this crazy weather. Please continue to send students to school with warm clothing. With that being said, we have quite a few jackets in the lost and found. If your child is missing something, please check out the lost and found.

Next week, March 6th-10th is Classified Appreciation week. Please take a moment to connect with your child about classified staff members that help them throughout the day. Below are the names of all our classified staff members, some of the adults support students at recess, lunch, reading groups, and Tiger’s Den. Staff love a thank you note, a picture, snacks and hugs. Please help us show our appreciation!

Thank you,

Amanda Dallas

2nd Graders & Math

Second graders are working super hard on their math. Both Ms. McNeely's & Mrs. Patts classes are using math songs to help them grasp onto their math concepts!

This month they are learning about patterns in numbers, such as odd and even numbers, as well as arrays. Check out Number Rock on YouTube to learn some fun math songs at home!"

Tiger Run Glow Party

WOW!!! The Tiger Run Glow Party was a huge sucess! Our lil Tigers reached & passed our set goal for funds raised during the Tiger Run earlier this year so they earned a Glow Party for working so hard and doing such an amazing job.

Bright lights, fun music and some crazy dance moves were spotted in the gym!! So much fun had by both staff & students. HUGE thank you to our amazing PTO team for making this event so special and fun; they go above and beyond to help make YCES a great place!

Below is a link to all the fun pictures PTO took of the kids enjoying the special afternoon.
