You can use a phone, tablet, or laptop, which offers some flexibility. In order to participate, your device may require a pre-installed app:

• iPads will need to install ZOOM App (do this before joining the test meeting)
• Windows and Mac Computers need to install the Zoom app (this will occur when accessing test meeting)
• Chromebooks need to install a Chrome Extension (this will occur when accessing test meeting)

Set up Zoom.

• Students can use a parent’s account or their own.
• You can get a free account at Zoom.com.
• Run a test to make sure everything works. (See below.)
  
• Get to know your Zoom buttons: mute/unmute, raise hand, clap and reaction icons, chat, share screen, whiteboard

When lessons begin on November 15, you will need a reliable device for each child in classes meeting concurrently. (See typical remote schedule below.) Students should have headphones available in case of noise or feedback.

Register by Friday, November 13 to be included on the class roster and receive the class zoom link.

Zoom Screen Names

Unknown names will not be admitted. Please set up your Zoom Screen Names so we know to let you in from the waiting room:

• Use first name (or nickname) and last initial (or last name) for parents.
• First name and last initial recommended for minors.

You can change your name to one we recognize even after connecting to a zoom waiting room.
