Carver Middle School Newsletter

December 6, 2020

Principal's Message

Holiday Greetings Carver Family,

Hopefully this correspondence finds our Carver families safe and healthy. Thank you for you support as we finished our first week after returning to virtual instruction. As a reminder, we are scheduled to provide virtual instruction until January 29. We have two very busy weeks ahead of us before the Holiday break.

As a reminder applications for Specialty Centers and Governor's School are now open. Please see below for further details. Applications are due Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

As you are aware our goal is to have 100% attendance in classes daily. Please continue to encourage your Cougar to attend each class and participate as much as possible. If your Cougar is having trouble attending class for any reason please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's counselor or an administrator.

As always we are here to help. We are successful together. This week's newsletter is packed with key updates and information, especially for our eighth grade students. Please take the time to review.

Have a great week! GO COUGARS!

Anthony J. McLaurin, Sr., Ed.D.

Carver Library! Updates from Mrs. Fontana!

Carver Curbside Library: Students can preorder library books for checkout by going to the Carver Library Canvas page and clicking the PINK paw. Follow the directions to search our books and put one or two books on hold for checkout. A librarian will check books out for the student, and have them packaged for curbside pickup outside door #6 on the bus loop side of the building on Wednesdays from 9:00-1:00. Look for the tent to pick up your books. It's very simple to check out new books and/or return any old books, even though you can't actually visit the library yet. Keep the pages turning and escape with a great book from our Carver library!
