You Tube Approval Changes - UPDATED since last newsletter
UPDATE!! If you did not receive the below message, please take a look -
In the last few days we have received feedback regarding recent YouTube approval changes. First, thank you for your feedback. Second, please understand there are important reasons as to why we must put an approval process into place, including federal law and the need to ensure our younger viewers do not have widespread access to staff-approved videos without a review protocol.
That said, we have heard and understand that you need time to become familiar with this process and to prepare for it, including time to review your curriculum materials. We acknowledge and want to honor that. Therefore, we have postponed the YouTube approval restrictions until further notice.
In the coming weeks, we will work with your principals to develop and communicate both the new procedures and the timeline for moving forward, and we will commit to communicating with all staff with enough lead time to adjust to this new practice.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these uncharted waters together.
