Growing In hope!
June 10, 2018
The Second Sunday of Pentecost
“Rejoice in hope.” Paul’s timeless directive to the Christians at Rome in the first century speaks to us today. We are in a season of hope—a season when seeds are planted and creation is being renewed. Even in times when situations in life have challenges for us, in Christ we are being renewed day by day. As we live in our baptismal grace, the Holy Spirit works in us and through us. The invitation of Joachim Neander, the seventeenth-century hymnwriter, is for each of us: “Ponder anew What the Almighty can do As with His love He befriends you” (LSB 790:4).
