It is Admissions Season, for any of your friends or family who are currently in high school who are interested in applying to AOC for the fall of 2023, they must attend a mandatory meeting (for rising 10th, 11th and 12th grade students). The zoom meetings continue this week. Parents must register to receive a link to the meeting. Please see this link for more information. In order to receive an application, they must attend this mandatory online information meeting.

AOC Spring 2024 Schedules: Spring 2024 class schedules will be available on Infinite Campus mid December. Students can check their COC Class schedule on MyCanyons now.

ASB will be hosting a fundraiser at the Panda Express on 26447 Bouquet Canyon Road. The fundraiser will be on Wednesday, November 15 and will run from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM. Please join us for Class Cup. All students, parents and families are welcome to attend this very special school-wide community event. Class Cup is Friday, November 18th from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on the practice field/soccer field behind the COC stadium.

AOC's Mock Trial team competed in a competition this last week. They did an outstanding job and are already getting ready for their next competition. If you are interested in participating in Mock Trial, practices are held after school from 5-6:30pm in room 101. Please contact Mr. Frame (mframe@hartdiistrict.org) or Dr. Shapiro (wshapiro@hartdistrict.org) with any questions. All students are welcome. Happy Diwali to all of our families who celebrate! Diwali is a five day festival of light celebrated around the world. It's one of the most colourful and significant festivals celebrating "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance"

COC Thanksgiving Holiday is only from 11/23-11/24 and AOC break is from 11/20-11/24. You are expected to attend COC classes. We will see you back in school on Monday, 11/27! Have a great break!

Located on the campus of College of the Canyons, AOC is proud to be the middle college high school in the William S. Hart Union High School District serving students 9th-12th grades in the Santa Clarita Valley. Students have the opportunity to earn between 24 and 44 transferable college units, prior to receiving their high school diplomas. Upon graduation, the majority of Academy students pursue their post high school education by continuing at COC and completing their college transfer requirements in only one year after high school. Other AOC students go directly into a four-year university, bringing their community college units with them and placing themselves well into their freshman and sophomore years at the college level. While attending AOC as a high school student, community college tuition is waived for established California residents.
