CAP CHAT
Mrs. Tuttle's CAP Class ~ Love Creek Elementary School
THURSDAY NOTE
How is it possible there are only 14 days left of school?? Where did this year go? This has absolutely been one of my FAVORITE years of teaching. I am going to greatly miss my 5th graders next year but am happy to know I'll be with my 4th graders again! Having my students for two years is one of my favorite parts of CAP.
The last couple weeks are jammed pack as we try to wrap up some huge projects! We are in the midst of writing a book, working on a Passion Project, and trying to get in one last small group book club. We're also hoping to create a board game to share something we learned this year! Please be sure to read below for additional information about our latest projects and see how you can help.
Please be sure to mark your calendar to attend our CAP Spring Showcase on May 31st from 10:30-11:30am. The students' latest projects will be on display and there will be snacks, too! You should have received a personalized, printed invitation from your child with specific items they're excited to share with you. We hope you all can come!
Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

NO HOMEWORK EXCEPT ANIMAL PROJECT!
Animal Project
Students have been assigned the task of creating some type of visual representation of their animal which is due May 30th and this project is to be done at home. This could be a painting, drawing, diorama, recycled material creation, etc. The sky is a limit as long as it is a representation of the animal. It does not have to have the exact colors, but there must be enough details that when people look at it, they understand it is the animal. The student should HAVE FUN!
Passion Projects
We have projects focused on:
- art
- quilting
- Italian crests
- photography
- Milky Way
- Liverpool soccer team
- coding
- history of video games
- robots: helpful or harmful?
- marine biologists
- gravitational slingshot
- french language
- River Cuomo
- supernovas
- x-rays
Some students may be finished by our Spring Showcase, but if they don't have finished projects, they will be excited to share their progress, I'm sure!
If you know anybody who may have some experience in any of the areas please let us know because we'd love to invite some experts in for interviews and real life information.
Also, please be sure to ask your child if he/she needs any materials. I'm trying to help provide as much as possible but if you can help your kiddo get something they need that would be much appreciated!
