The LMS Lowdown

May 28, 2021

I know Governor Murphy is easing restrictions on mask wearing, but please keep in mind that those do not impact schools. We will need to wear masks for the rest of the school year. In addition, our children will continue with mask and water breaks daily. As the weather gets warmer, please remember to send in a water bottle with your child.

Last night we brought the 8th grade together to hang out and enjoy a movie out back at LMS. Thanks to the PTA for organizing and sponsoring this event. A big thank you to Rue Ryan, Heather Phillips and Melissa Walsh. In addition, Tracy Maccariella for taking pics and Alessandra Gambino for making sure everyone was safe.

We recently applied for a grant to build an outdoor pavilion to the right of LMS and entered a contest to win 30 chromebooks to help "transform learning."

We are one of eight finalists for the chromebooks!

All you need is a google account to vote - - you get one vote from each and every google account that you have. Voting is open until June 4th and the winners be announced on June 7th.

Here are the all of the Finalist Videos as well as the Contest Description.

Feel free to post this on social media and forward this email to friends and family. Winning this would be a "breath of fresh air" for our students.

Thanks for voting!

Last night, Mr. Langowski held a forum to update the community on plans for 21-22 school year opening. Below is the link to that presentation if you were not able to make it.
