DMS Weekly Family Newsletter

Conductor Corner
I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I can't believe that there will only be one more newsletter this school year! I have a very deep love and commitment for Durand Middle School and our students, so as these final weeks unfold it has been very bittersweet. This is not at all how I pictured the end of the year and I miss the students more than I can express. That being said, I hope to have some really great messages from students and staff in next week's newsletter to share with the students.
If you were not able to come to the locker and book return days, I have a second round scheduled. I am planning to hold a book drop off and locker item return on June 2nd. I will include times later in the afternoon/early evening to accommodate parents who work during the day. I will include the exact times in the newsletter next week as I am still working out a few details. Please make sure to be gathering up textbooks, library books, and items/books borrowed from teachers. Teachers and Mrs. Raley, our media center specialist, will be sending home owing notices for students who have not returned books. If you are not able to make it to the school on June 2nd and have not already returned books and collected locker items, please let me know and I will work with you.
Have a wonderful Railroader Week!
