TONIGHT! Book Fair Family Fun Night!

5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Library! All students must be accompanied by an adult. See you there!

Headphones in Art

With your permission, our lovely art teacher, Mrs. Pitts, is now allowing fifth grade students to listen to school-appropriate music on their devices in Art in efforts to inspire creativity and promote artistic focus. This is completely optional. If your child brings a device to school and you do not feel comfortable with this, please notify Mrs. Pitts.

The art days for each homeroom are as follows:

Redburn: Monday

Baril: Wednesday

Fariss: Thursday

Madden: Friday

Winter Class Party

This year, the annual 5th grade Winter Party will be held from 1:45-2:45 in the Cafeteria! Feel free to join your child for holiday fun! A link to pre-register was attached in the Smith campus Smore. Please email your child's homeroom teacher if you have any questions!

Progress Reports

Progress reports went home LAST week. The white copy is yours to keep and the blue copy must be signed and returned. If you still have your blue copy at home, please send it to school with your student tomorrow!

Please note that many times grades are higher or lower than normal on progress reports. This is because it is only half way through the 9 weeks and retakes on quizzes may not have been completed. Please note that it is the student's responsibility to keep up with what papers they might need to redo. They can do this by looking through their graded papers on Thursdays or checking online in the Home Access Center. Also, papers go home each Thursday if your child's grades do not match the papers coming home, it could be they are throwing away papers with lower grades. It happens!!
