REMINDER FOR STUDENT PROJECTS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY
The state recently updated its guidelines for the maximum capacity of groups within private homes to be limited to 10 people. If you know of student projects happening within the community where the group size may be larger than this recommended amount please work with your students to make alternative arrangements.
REMINDER: FRIDAY NOVEMBER 13 - LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW
Friday, November 13th is the last day for students to withdraw from a course AND withdraw from the college. To withdraw from a course, a student must complete this course withdrawal form. To withdraw from the college, a student must email Tara Arneson, tarneson@champlain.edu, from their Champlain email account, with their intent to withdraw. The deadline for students to receive a medical withdrawal is Friday, December 11.
CHANGES TO PERRY HALL TESTING TRAFFIC FLOW
We have moved our COVID surveillance testing program indoors into Perry Hall. Please note the following small changes to the flow through Perry Hall, effective as of Monday 11/9/20:
Please enter Perry Hall through the S. Willard Street entrance.
We will now ask that you blow your nose prior to entering the building; signage will direct you where to do this.
When weather permits, please exit the Perry Presentation Room out the back doors and down the stairs onto the patio where the testing tent was previously located.
The accessible entrance and exit options are through the S. Willard entrance or the Maple Street entrance.
Finally, please remember surveillance testing in Perry Hall is for asymptomatic individuals only. If you have developed any symptoms, please stay put and apart from others, record your symptoms on your Daily Health Screen, and wait for a member of the Campus Medical Team to contact you.
Thank you all for your continued diligent efforts to keep our campus healthy.
IDEA SRI FOR STUDENTS IN FLEX-HYBRID COURSES STARTS MONDAY
This fall the IDEA Student Ratings of Instruction survey will be available to traditional students in Flex-Hybrid courses starting on November 16 (next Monday!), closing at midnight on December 4. This fall we will use the shorter Learning Essentials form. Faculty are now welcome to complete their Learning Objectives Selection Forms (one for each section taught) through the IDEA-CL Faculty Portal. Now is a good time to check that the correct class surveys are appearing in your portal and that the class rosters are correct. Please consult these guidelines for details about administering the IDEA survey in a Flex-Hybrid course during remote instruction. If you have questions or concerns, or need accommodations, please contact Ellen Zeman, zeman@champlain.edu.
