December Newsletter

Dear Parents,

It's hard to believe we're already into the month of December! This is undoubtedly one of the busiest times of the year for everyone. Hang in there! The hard work that students are putting in right now will pay off when it comes to the Winter Recital in a couple of weeks. I can't thank you enough for encouraging your child to persevere through this busy time of year.

Winter Recital

Saturday, Dec. 19th, 6-7pm

1700 Wade Hampton Boulevard

Greenville, SC

Arrival time: 10-15 min. early

Dress: Dressy casual (feel free to wear something holiday themed!)

What to bring: The music each student has prepared to play for the recital.

Who can come: Anyone is welcome to join us!

Star Students Update

You may remember back at the beginning of September I announced our studio theme for the year--Star Students. Every time a student does something such as completing their practice for the week, memorizing a piece, performing, writing a composer report, etc., that student gets to place a star on his/her chart. By this point, EVERY student has earned at least one star and several have even finished their charts and started new ones! This studio theme will continue into the Spring. I can't wait to see how many more students complete their charts this year!

Mall performance success!

Thank you to the students and parents who made yesterday's mall performance successful! Your hard work and practice really paid off. I'd love for even more students to join our mall performance next year--it's a great ensemble experience and LOTS of fun!
