A Monthly Newsletter - February 2023

Members of our School Counseling team and Administration attended the Palmetto State School Counselors Association Conference in January. They learn a lot of information to share with our school.

We have some awesome events coming up in February and March sign up today to attend.

A message from our school leaders.

February 6th-10th is National School Counseling Week

Help us thank the amazing school counseling team at SC Whitmore School! leaving a nice note on their Padlets - Mrs. Goff, Mr. Disbrow, Mrs. DeLong, Mrs. Gilbert, Ms. Hurley, and Mrs. Miller.

Your voice matters! We need to hear what's working for you and what you need. This year we will send routine text messages and emails with a few simple questions asking for feedback on your experience with school. You will receive these messages from Possip, an organization we have partnered with to learn your needs. We are excited to hear from you via Possip this school year!

Thank you for sharing ideas through Possip last month! We’ve heard from 303 of you during the course of the year. We are seeing that 99% of you are happy or mostly happy with SC WHITMORE SCHOOL at our last check-up.

Last month we heard members in the school community share examples of praise, appreciation, and feedback or questions.

  • Praise for high academic rigor

  • Praise for support of student mental health

  • Questions about the attendance policy

  • Feedback about communication responsiveness from staff members

We are taking all of your feedback and ideas into consideration for our future planning and follow-up. We hope to hear from you again on our next Possip Pulse Check!

Thanks again for sharing!
