Northshore Concert Band’s 2023 Lifetime of Music Hadley Student Selection

Band Directors Samantha Tribley and Chris Cooper celebrated Hadley student Autumn Sury who was honored with the NorthShore Concert Band Lifetime Achievement Award. Board members congratulated Autumn for her accomplishment.

Celebrating School Resource Officer Joe Nemchock | watch

After five years serving in District 41 schools, Officer Joe Nemchock is retiring from the Glen Ellyn Police Department and will no longer serve as the School Resource Officer. Chief Communications Officer Erika Krehbiel presented Officer Nemchock with a Certificate of Appreciation. Board members also thanked him for his service.

Superintendent Dr. Melissa Kaczkowski provided an update about the district’s emergency preparedness training and planning. She also shared that district administrators attended a Regional Office of Education School Safety Task Force, Office of Homeland Security Training at the College of DuPage last week.

Director of Technology and Innovation Andrew Peterman presented information about a plan to replace cabling that is over 25 years old.

Feasibility Study Proposal | watch

Dr. Kaczkowski introduced Craig Siepka from Wight & Co. Mr. Siepka presented a proposal for a feasibility study. Board members asked questions and engaged in conversation about the proposal and the deliverables that would come from the study. They discussed the scope of the study in depth. They landed on Wight & Co. creating a new proposal that includes a master plan process.
