Evamere Updates:

  • End of the Quarter Staff Chats: thank you to all the staff members that met with me last week about Evamere. It was wonderful to hear your thoughts and reflections on the 2016-17 school year. If you would like to meet with me and you missed the sign-up just let me know and we will find to talk.
  • Report Cards: Kathy will have copies of the report cards ready for you this week so please review closely before Wednesday afternoon. Evamere parents will be able to view report cards on Wednesday, October 19th at 4:00 pm. The paper copy will be sent home to parents on Friday, October 21st.
  • PLC's Week of October 17: I have attached a math article which we will review at our PLC's. (I know this is a busy week so we will have time to read the article in PLC's.)
  • Rimps: I will be reviewing the students on rimps during PLC's this week. If a student is on a rimp Tara or I will attend the parent-teacher conference to explain the process and sign off on the rimp.
  • COSI-Reminder we will have COSI on Thursday and Friday this week with Simply Chemistry. Please make sure you are on time for your scheduled assembly and class exploration time. It is a very tight schedule and we want our students to have plenty of time to explore the Chemistry concepts. Thank you to the Evamere PTO for sponsoring this wonderful program!
  • Halloween Parade: we will have our Halloween parades at 10:15 for half day Kindergarten and 2:00 for K/1. Please continue to remind parents about our nut free policy for the Halloween parties. We will be sending a district letter home this week about appropriate costumes because of all the clown issues in the media.
  • Newsletters: please send me your weekly newsletters so I can be updated on your classroom events. Thank you!
  • Hudson PTO Grants: Last day to join PTO is Monday, October 17th. If you are considering writing a grant, please remember that you must be a PTO member. See Lisa Farmer our teacher representative, with questions about Evamere PTO. Online membership/payment is available this year at http://hudsonpto.org/membership.html. Simply click on this link to complete the online form: https://form.jotform.com/62714226966159 Mini-grants are $250 for an individual or up to $500 if two or more teachers apply together. The deadline for submitting grant requests is Monday, October 24, 2016.
  • Ready, Set, Relax: Our community-wide Ready, Set, Relax evening will be November 3, to allow children and families some time to play games, go for a walk and relax! For that evening, please refrain from assigning homework or studying. Check out the promotional flyer attached!
  • Culture is Contagious: Happiness Article: attached is a great article Doreen shared with me about a district who embraced the Happiness Advantage.
