8th Grade Update
March 23, 2018
Dear 8th Grade Students and Families,
Happy Friday! Despite this week's snow, spring is still just around the corner. But before we leave for Spring Break, we've got our annual Spring Beautification Day tomorrow! Last week I mentioned a variety of projects that Ms. Heil needs our help on, so please come on out and join us tomorrow - let's beautify our school together!
Today permission slips for our 8th Grade Day Out went home. Please be sure to bring it back on Monday so that all 8th graders can attend this great event! It's always a highlight of the year and we really want all of us present so we can experience it together. :) Find more information below.
Hope to see you tomorrow!
Love,
Ms. K
Important: All Permission Slips are Due Monday!
Which project will you come out and support tomorrow?
Project #1 - Mary's Makeover
- Improvements to the Mary Garden in front of the school including new plantings, fencing, and lighting.
Project #2 - Bringing the Garden Beds to Life
- Prepare Garden Beds for Spring Planting - Help bring our environmental science program to life, literally!
Project #3 - Our Brand New Makerspace
- Renovating the cafeteria into a multipurpose Makerspace. We will need help from parents with drills who won’t mind painting, building, and hanging!
Project #4 - Make Sacred Heart Shine
- General Spring cleaning around the building, including wiping down our playground and removing all of the old scuff marks!
Project #5 - Support Team
- Help prepare food and drinks for our hungry workers!
Looking ahead: Come to the Good Friday Process and help carry a banner!
