Now We Are Getting Into the Meat of Online Marketing -- Conversions....
The new course from Jon Benson - 3X VSL - Words That Get Cash - makes me think of the Instant Sales Letter course created a while back. (Only this one is with VSL (video sales letters).
Ahh, if only writing copy was as easy as pushing a few buttons in a software program and creating videos that drove in the masses.
Copywriting for Profit
The word "copy" has an interesting origin. Back in the old days of newspapers, when everyone used typewriters, a 'copy boy' was the kid who ran errands and would carry the typed stories from one section of the newspaper to another.
Eventually, the name became associated with the act of writing the copy - copywriting - and stuck.
Anyway...where was I?
Oh yeah, if only writing copy (in VSLs) was that easy.
The thing about copywriting (or should I say 'good' copywriting) is that it it must convert the passive reader into someone taking action. This usually means buying the product or service that you are offering.
The Magician's Trick
Of course I have been saying this for quite a while. Not just about this software course, but any other 'make money' product online today. If the 'thing' (and when I say thing you can fill in the blank) worked so well why sell it?
It's kinda like the magician performing a trick. One hand distracts your attention while the other hand does 'the trick.'
If the software really works - to create amazing Video Sales Letters - why on earth would you sell it? Why create a new market of competition for you and your product?
Hmmm....
Could it be that the real money to be made is in selling the software itself and not from the video sales letters it produces?
Another Example
This is a bit like the two guys who were (are) selling "the secrets" of how to make a fortune with Amazon FBA. If a fortune can really be made shipping physical products on FBA while not just make the fortune and be done with it?
Easy Answer
Here's the answer. Selling digital products (videos, mp3s, e-documents, and software via download) is, hands-down, the most profitable use of the internet.
Period!
95% of the sales offers (in your email box right now) are tied to online training or courses of some sort.
It doesn't matter what they (the gurus) 'propose' in their salesletter or webinar -- their real money is being made on the digital product they are selling at the end of the webinar. (NOT the 'thing' that the product is suppose to teach you to do).
Conversions!
Yes. This is the magic ingredient. Conversion is where the rubber meets the road.
I cover this in futher details at the link below. You can also discover what sets our approach apart from the others:
