Ms. Meeson's Tenth-Grade English
Students in Ms. Meeson's tenth-grade English classes have been reading Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger. Taking place during the summer of 1961 in New Bremen, Minnesota, the novel is a mystery with a cast of damaged characters. Some are haunted by past experiences while others are haunted by current circumstances. One of the characters, Warren Redstone, makes the comment, "Fishing is purely a state of mind. Some men when they're fishing are after fish. Me, I'm after things you could never set a barbed hook in," and for this assignment, students chose a character, designed a fish to represent him/her, and then explained what sort of intangible element would bring that chosen character peace. The final products, as a whole, were quite impressive!
English 9/10
Spanish 2
Students in Spanish 2 created dioramas and videos using vocabulary related to cities to demonstrate their understanding of the Spanish language. They worked extremely hard and did an incredible job. Here are a few amazing examples! "Thank you to all of the parents and families who helped make these possible!"
