The B.Y.E. Buzz

Week of February 22nd

Principal Corner

WOW!!! What a great turnout we had to our remote learning. While remote learning is not ideal, it is necessary. There is so much for our students to learn so we have to keep going! Thank you!!! We know this is hard work on parents, and you were so helpful in having your students on zooms and completing assignments. We connected with over 90% of our students every remote learning day.

Student led conferences will be virtual this spring. Teachers will be sending home a sign-up link for these conferences. They will also send a short video for you to watch before the conference. If you have any questions from the video, they can be discussed at the conference. (Mrs. Dickard and Mrs. Hester's class conferences will have different dates; thanks for understanding).

Our Book Character Dress Up Day will be Tuesday, March 2nd at 2:00 PM. This event will be outdoors (weather permitting). Parents will be allowed to attend our event, and it will also be recorded. We will require social distancing and masks to be worn. Please see the map below for family seating. This event has been approved by the Arkansas Department of Health and all regulations must be followed.

There are a few important events coming up that we wanted to make sure you were aware of:

3/1/21- Kindergarten Enrollment (see more information below)

3/1-3/2- Student-Led Conferences via Zoom (teachers will make contact regarding schedules)

3/1-3/5- Dr. Seuss Week- we will have a book character dress-up day and outdoor parade for parents to attend.

3/5/21- Color Run- Parents will be invited to watch the run.

The month of March- We will be updating current student information (phone numbers, addresses, emergency contacts, health info). We will be sending this home in the next few weeks. You will need to turn in a gas or electric bill showing proof of address with the returned information.
