Before School Activities
Many families are participating in morning activities for the first time this spring, and we are offering more activities than we have previously. We have noticed there are times when students who have a before school activity arrive quite early and KidStop has graciously allowed them to come in Door L. However, the teacher is not available for the child yet and the child could go unsupervised for some time until the teacher arrives. KidStop will no longer open Door L for non-KidStop families in the mornings.
If you arrive early to drop off your child for before the teacher is available to open the door, please wait with your child in the parking lot until the teacher is there. Do not leave your children unsupervised waiting outside the door.
Please do not form a line through the driveway on the south side of the building. A stopped line of cars blocks staff from getting to the back parking lot in the mornings.
Also, there are no morning drop offs at Door A (main entrance). If a teacher prefers a drop off other than Door L for a morning activity, they will communicate it to parents. Otherwise, all drop offs are at Door L for morning activities.
Thank you again for your attention to these procedures.

Heavilin Reads!
Primary Productions
Primary Productions, our 2nd and 3rd grade wing of Heavilin Drama Club, will be presenting Click, Clack, Moo and A Bad Case of Stripes on Tuesday, March 19th at 4:30 PM. This is Primary Production's very first production, and our 2nd and 3rd graders have been working hard. We can't wait to share it with you!
Internet Safety at Home
The internet is a place filled with information, and the ability to connect with people around the world. And much like our world, it can be a great place to be, but also a dangerous place. Most parents would never think of putting their children in physical danger, but when we allow children to use the internet without limits, we are allowing them to access information without your filter.
Internet challenges are everywhere these days, and children are easily persuaded to try things they don’t fully understand. Parents can help limit children’s negative exposure by placing restrictions on internet use, and monitoring their children while they are on their devices. This article addresses 13 Internet Challenges your children may already know about. This article specifically addresses something you may have heard about in the news lately called the Momo Challenge.
