Reminders and Announcements
- Thank you to everyone who helped make Trick or Treat on Main Street a success! This includes those that passed out candy and those of you who donated candy. We lasted longer than most booths thanks to all of you! We got to see so many of our kids (past and present). It was a wonderful experience.
- The paras threw a great potluck. Thank you for your hard work and putting the extra into the event. Much appreciated!
- Thanks to Mrs. Plunkett and Mrs. Moriarty for organizing National Literacy Day readers and writing thank you cards to our readers. The readers had great things to say about each class and want to come back to read again.
2. Progress Report grades are due in TAC on November 6 by 4 pm. Directions for IPR's are found HERE.
3. By the end of this week, please, have your students log on to Istation and take the math and literacy assessments. Remember that you will need to be monitoring this process. Once the blue ISIP label leaves the bottom of the screen, the student has finished the assessment and is now working in the curriculum. If you need any assistance, please, let me know.
4. FanTABulous Contest - Our goal is to save more than last year's total of 168 pounds. We need 96 more pounds to meet last year's total. Turn your tabs into Mrs. Moriarty with your class name. The class in each grade level with the most tabs wins a prize.
- Kindergarten - Aldridge - 2 lbs. 8 oz.
- 1st grade - Jones - 11 oz.
- 2nd grade - Poole - 13 oz.

Picture Book Recommendation of the Week
Americas White Table by Margot Theis Raven, Mike Benny
The White Table is set in many mess halls as a symbol for and remembrance to service members fallen, missing, or held captive in the line of duty. Solitary and solemn, it is the table where no one will ever sit.
As a special gift to her Uncle John, Katie and her sisters are asked to help set the white table for dinner. As their mother explains the significance of each item placed on the table Katie comes to understand and appreciate the depth of sacrifice that her uncle, and each member of the Armed Forces and their families, may be called to give.

Motivational Quote of the Week
What the Principal is Reading
Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
Got Data? Now What? by Laura Lipton, Bruce Wellman
For We Are Many (Bobiverse #2) by Dennis E. Taylor
Bob left Earth anticipating a life of exploration and blissful solitude. Instead he’s a sky god to a primitive native species, the only hope for getting humanity to a new home, and possibly the only thing that can prevent every species in the local sphere ending up as dinner.
