If your child is a struggling reader - you will get a Dibels report weekly/bi-weekly! If you have a strong reader you will bet a Dibels report every 4 weeks!
Every 4 weeks - Interventionists/Classroom Teachers/ Para Professionals and Building Principal gather around data to discuss EVERY child. During this time we decide next steps for interventions services, whether a child can move out of an intervention or needs to move into an intervention, and how to push our higher readers. Every class has a 60 minute intervention time to address students' specific skills and needs 5 days per week.
If your child is a struggling reader - you will find a specifically selected book in their Bulldog Notebooks - It is imperative they read this book EVERY night - is has been specifically selected to help support the skills being worked on during Intervention time.
If you need help interpreting your child's Dibels reports, please stop in and we would be happy to help explain this report!
