On The Buses

March 2013

Raising the Roof

We were recently approached by Kerry & Matthew to transform this iconic, long wheelbase Routemaster London bus (CUV 291C) into a unique mobile bar complete with a lift-up centre section in the upper deck roof for a DJ’s music pod. We are due to complete our work in time for the bus launch in May 2013 & we are now carrying out the major structural works and installing a generator. We will keep you updated in the coming months.

Bodybuilding Workout

We have been really busy replacing a number various body panels on this historic AEC Regent bus (KHC 369) as the originals had a number of small dents & wear & tear and even the occasional rotting panel. We have reshaped and installed a new wing supplied by customer, had the exterior repainted by David Paynes at Aylesford & then our signage department have added the authentic livery.

A New Series of the X Factor

As time goes on the xBus is being used more & commitments have grown. Whilst it is nice to be in demand, Sublime needed the support of a second vehicle & so they have acquired a smaller mini bus. We have made a number of essential modifications to the new minibus, fitting out the inside resplendent in their corporate lime green colour with seating in keeping with its big sister, the XBUS. We built the carcasses and covered the seat bases giving them under seat storage and private storage area, accessible only to the staff. We also fitted a full height bulkhead behind the drivers cab so that the driver is totally separate.

Local News

SEC are quite used to working across the whole of the UK & occasionally on the continent. Imagine how thrilled we were to have a couple of local jobs in the last few weeks. Your Community Shop, Faversham are a not for profit organisation donating goods to local causes & aiming to improve the lives & well-being of Faversham residents. Lotty's Flowers are floral artists based at 78 Preston Street in Faversham & are a professionally qualified independent florist company, offering something truly unique and contemporary for Kent and the South-East. We have received excellent feedback from both clients & hope to hear from other local businesses in the near future.

Do not adjust your sets

Our sign department spend all of their time branding & re-branding premises & vehicles for other companies so they considered it high time they re-branded themselves! From the 1st of March they launched as SEC Signworks with a completely new identity & sporting the brightest, most dazzling van wrap you’ll ever see. Jamie
& Alex will be placing more emphasis on servicing local sign requirements in the ME & CT postcode areas but will of course still be part of the South East Coachworks team & wrapping the larger, bespoke, bus & coach conversion projects. If you require shop or factory signs, window graphics, vehicle graphics, vehicle wraps, banners, site boards or exhibition display then they would love to hear from you either by calling on 01795
534888 or emailing your details to signs@secworks.co.uk
