Greetings,everybody! This week we have been studying The Karankawa! The Karankawa were an Native American tribe that lived in Texas,The Gulf Coast,and Galveston. So now, are you guys ready to learn about the Karankawa? I hope you enjoy it!

- The Karankawa made their clothes out of animal skin.
- The Karankawa were six feet tall and strong.
- In the winter they wold wear bear skin.
Food
- The Karankawa caught fish and arrows to catch fish and alligators.
- During the summer they ate berries,edible plants,and roots.
- They were fisherman,mammal hunters,and gatherers. They gathered buffaloes,birds,and bird eggs.

- The Karankawa temporarily built wooden houses to live in.
- They lived at the Gulf Coast, Galveston in Texas.
- They gathered up and traveled to an unknown island to find food.
Customs/Traditions/Ceremonies By:Devansh Saxena
- The women never danced on ceremonies, instead they howled on the sidelines with their hair all over their faces.
- The Karankawa were believed to practice cannibalism.
- They drank a drink called "Black Drink" on the full moon celebration.
