This week we continue encouraging our students to participate and read, record, and read some more for our 1st annual PTA sponsored Read-a-Thon. I hope all families have been able to set up a pledgestar account: https://pledgestar.com/stoneranch. Use this online account to help your child/ren keep track of all the minutes they read, are read to, or listen to books.
It all counts!
We are in our last week of our iReady March Madness Principal's Challenge. I am proud of all grade levels - each representing a different college this month and competing in the areas of time on task and percentage of lessons passed with 80% or higher.

Reflections this year was a huge success! We had 80 submissions representing every grade and each category; dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

Continued Reminders for Traffic Safety - PLEASE...
2. Pull all the way up to the furthest space along the unloading / loading zone.
3. Remain in your car - never leave your car parked and unattended.
4. Children should only get out of the car in the unloading/loading zone.
5.Give yourself more time so you don't have to rush or feel agitated.
6. Practice patience and kindness.

Honda of San Diego Teacher Appreciation Awards May 8th-12th, 2023

We all know, work with, or have heard the story of a San Diego teacher whose efforts have greatly impacted their students, community, or school!
To celebrate Teacher Appreciation week, May 8th-12th, 2023, the San Diego Helpful Honda Dealers will be honoring and surprising four deserving teachers, each, with $5,000 worth of school supplies and materials they need to better help their students succeed!
We want to identify teachers in schools across San Diego County who have gone above and beyond to give their students a memorable and unmatched educational experience – and we need your help!
We want to make this recognition a surprise, so we rely on colleagues, parents, or friends, etc. to help make this happen – and not to tell the nominee in advance – this way, it’s a true surprise.

Staff Apprecation Week - Next Week
Stone Ranch Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is April 3-7! We have wonderful educators at Stone Ranch, so let's show them our appreciation. The PTA will be coordinating a staff luncheon on 4/4 and a breakfast on 4/7. Please look for an email from your class room parent for ways you can get involved such as having your child make card(s) for teachers and staff. If you'd like to volunteer, please contact Lilliene Shin at lilliene@gmail.com.
5th Grade Promotion Lawn Signs - On Sale Now
Stone Ranch PTA is also accepting donations for lawn signs for students in need. Our goal is to provide a sign to every 5th grade student at Stone Ranch.
Signs will be available for pick up in front of Stone Ranch from 5:00-6:00 on Thursday, April 20 and Friday, April 21. Signs not picked up at that time will be held in the front office for pickup by an adult during the week of April 24.

Last Chance .... Don't Miss the Friday Deadline!
Reminder - PUSD 2023-2024 Continuing Student Registration is Open!
Online Continuing Student Registration will be open from March 1- March 31, 2022. We must receive a completed digital packet for all returning students. This will allow for proper placement of your student for the 2023-2024 school year. This annual digital process will allow a family to complete one single “family” packet instead of completing one packet per student. Packets can be completed using any computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection.
Continuing Registration Steps:
1. Login and complete the digital registration packet via the online registration portal found here.
2. Review and complete any required forms located at the conclusion of the process. A packet is not considered finalized until this step is completed.
Please note: MEDICATION FORMS or ADDITIONAL SIGNED SITE SPECIFIC FORMS WILL NOT BE COLLECTED UNTIL SCHOOL BEGINS IN AUGUST FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR.
